Ray Bird Obituary (1929 – 2022) – Ammon, ID

Ray Hen, 92, of Idaho Falls, handed absent March 7, 2022, at his house surrounded by his loving loved ones. He was below the treatment of Alliance Hospice.

Ray was born December 20, 1929, in Milo, Idaho, to Lewis Richard and Grace Leavitt Fowl. He grew up and attended educational institutions in Milo. About the yrs, he self taught himself quite a few trades.

On September 21, 1949, he married Larene Byram in the Salt Lake Metropolis Temple. Ray and Larene made their residence in Milo and Idaho Falls, where the lifted their five kids. Ray was a really hard employee. He farmed for several a long time in Milo ahead of transferring to Idaho Falls wherever he purchased Motel West which he owned and operated until eventually he retired. They spent their winters in their house in Arizona, which was their favorite spot to be.

Ray was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Through the yrs, he served in several callings which include the Scouting software. He served as a temple worker and sealer. He had the privilege of sealing many of his grandchildren. He and Larene served 2 mission jointly. 1 to the Dominican Republic and then Spain. Ray cherished horses, and in 1997 he participated in the Sesquicentennial Mormon Trail Wagon Practice Re-Enactment to the Salt Lake Valley. He was gifted in tunes and entertained us with his guitar and singing. He cherished the outdoors, particularly shelling out time fishing, searching, and snowmobiling. He cherished time expended with spouse and children, and he was constantly the lifetime of the celebration. He was a master of all game titles and experienced the option to participate in many situations with pals and loved ones.

Ray is survived by his loving young children, Sandra (Elmer) Cherry of Idaho Falls, ID Patty Jo (Larry) Moore of Idaho Falls, ID Larry (Janie) Fowl of Boise, ID Gordon (Julie) Bird of Boise, ID and Raelene (Jeff) Toulouse of Blackfoot, ID sister, Joann Petersen of Idaho Falls, ID sister-in-regulation, Vicki Fowl of Idaho Falls, ID 22 grandchildren, 71 terrific-grandchildren, and 17 (nearly 19) great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his spouse, Larene Chook mother and father, Lewis and Grace Chook sisters, Lola Geary, Lela Leavitt, Wilma Curtis, Elaine Storer, and Rowene Lee brothers, Ronald Chicken, Kenneth Fowl, and Rodney Bird grandson, Taylor Anderson and granddaughter, Shelby Anderson.

Companies will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Idaho Falls Skyline Ward, 2345 West 17th South, with Bishop John Collins officiating. The family will stop by with mates from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in the Milo Cemetery.
