She married Marion (Sam) Harless on September 17, 1960, in North Charleston, West Virginia in a tiny ceremony officiated by her grandfather, Harvey Jennings Hen. Carole, Sam and their kids lived in Fairport Harbor for quite a few yrs just before building their residence in Madison. After Sam’s passing, Carole moved to Geneva.
